Personalized Programs for Children With Autism

Leveraging evidence-based techniques, the certified and licensed therapists at Arms Wide Open ABA Therapy help children with autism improve their social, daily living, learning and communication skills. Our programs consider each child's unique strengths and challenges to increase helpful behavior and independence. We also provide our autism support services in a nurturing and understanding setting to promote trust, comfort and engagement.

Assessment and Testing

Once you receive a diagnostic evaluation from a medical professional, you can come to us for ABA therapy services. Our experienced Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA) start with a comprehensive assessment that includes:
  • Reviewing medical records and history.
  • Performing developmental tests to understand your child's skills.
  • Interviewing you to learn about your child's developmental history, interests and strengths.
  • Conducting a Functional Behavior Assessment (FBA) to determine the “why” behind challenging behavior like aggression.

At-Home Therapy

At-home therapy guides your child in their familiar environment, enhancing engagement with the therapist. From having access to their toys to fitting therapy activities within the existing family routines, at-home therapy enables children to learn in a familiar, secure setting, fostering trust and the potential to progress quickly.

Our BCBAs will design a personalized at-home therapy plan, implement it and track your child's progress to ensure its effectiveness. They'll also adjust interventions based on monitoring findings.

In addition to offering a supportive learning environment, at-home therapy involves parents, siblings and other caregivers, empowering them to support your child's progress outside therapy sessions. It also ensures consistent, predictable routines that make expectations clear while providing security.

Parent Guidance

For the long-term success of ABA therapy, parents must actively participate throughout the treatment process, from setting goals to implementing therapeutic techniques. We'll equip you with the skills and knowledge to support your child's progress and maintain consistency outside therapy.

Parent guidance teaches communication, behavior management and other techniques while allowing you to practice them as the therapist watches and provides feedback.

School Collaboration

Our therapists partner with your child's school, nursery or daycare to facilitate the application of therapy techniques outside the home environment. We can observe your child in the classroom and identify and address triggers.

School, nursery and daycare collaboration helps us provide teachers with valuable techniques to manage classroom behavior. It also enables easy data sharing to simplify progress monitoring and inform treatment adjustments.
